Tiffany(Hao) Yang is a Kenyon College Class of 2025 graduate who studied Biology.

Research interests: I’m interested in how small-scale ecological farms or Eco-villages could become a form of communal living in the future, and how this way of life could generate its own sustainable economy and become a self-sustaining economic unit. This could be an alternative way to address the “spiritual loneliness” and other public health issues arising from the atomization of individuals caused by large-scale urbanization.

Previous research experience: I conducted a three-year longitudinal study with Lai of the living conditions of migrant workers in the Suzhou area, collecting data through interviews, observations, and other qualitative methods.

I helped in prof. Regmi's lab to study plant science for 2 years at Kenyon.

How I got started: I got started by networking with professor in related field and asking them questions about the research that I am interested in.
