Nadya Matish is a Kenyon College Class of 2027 student studying Classics.

Research interests: I'm interested in Roman literature and history, particularly the ways in which literature interacts with politics in the Roman Empire. I'm also interested in making the ancient world accessible to a broader audience through teaching, digital database work, and youth outreach.

Previous research experience: I worked as the Editorial Assistant to Professor Myers in his role as the Editor of Vergilius, a peer-reviewed Classics journal dedicated to Vergil. I also worked at Kenyon as a Summer Scholar in where I did research on Vergil and created a compendium of bibliographical sources relating to the Latin poet.

How I got started: I got started by creating a relationship with my Latin professor and working as a TA in Latin at the Kenyon Classics department.

Looking for: Alumni/recent grad mentorship
